Whitestown was originally called New Germantown.

One day I received the following email, and I was instantly intrigued. So I watched the presentation and asked for access to the presentation upon completion.

Tomorrow (2/10/2021) at 7:30pm I am giving a virtual presentation for the Indiana German Heritage Society on the history of communities in Indiana once known as Germantown, one of which is Whitestown. If you are interested in watching, you can get information on the Indiana German Heritage Society Facebook page.

I hope you don't mind but I have used some of your images in my PowerPoint presentation and credit your site. It is purely for educational purposes.
Thanks.

Don Flick

Don Flick with the Indiana German Heritage Society delved into the name of Germantown and discovered that there were actually several towns using that name at one time or another in the history of Indiana. Don put together a very informative presentation for an online event and I have included a link to that presentation which was very well done. Please enjoy.
